Can Pipe Flow Wizard calculate pressure drop in a pipe?
Yes. When the internal roughness, internal diameter and length of a pipe are known, together with the type and number of fittings on the pipe, plus the start to end of pipe elevation change, then for a specified flow rate in the pipe, the pressure drop in the pipe can be calculated.
The type of flow (laminar or turbulent), the associated Reynold's number, and the friction factor used in the pressure drop calculation are also displayed alongside the pipe pressure loss result.
