Can Pipe Flow Advisor calculate flow rate due to gravity?
Yes. Pipe Flow Advisor can calculate the approximate flow rate of water in part full channels (due to flow under gravity conditions).
It can also calculate the tank emptying time for a specific height of water in a particular shape of tank.
It cannot calculate flow rates or emtying times for fluids other than water since it use the Manning Formula to estimate the flow rate results and this equation only gives estimates for fluids similar to water.
The software can calculate volume of fluid and weight of fluid for fluids other than water, where the density data is specified.
