How many pipes and node can be modeled?
Pipe Flow Expert can model up to 1000 pipes and 1000 nodes.
A single pipe represents a connection between two nodes, each of which has a specified elevation. The pipe length can be set to be very small or very large, i.e. it's length could be set to be say 1 inch or 100 miles long.
Fittings and groups of fittings, such as bends, can be added on to a single pipe. For example, one pipe that connects two points at different elevations, where the pipe twists and turns through several bends can actually be modeled as a single pipe with a number of 'bend' fittings. This means that the 1000 pipes limit is more than enough in most practical situations, however the user can draw every bend on the drawing, using a new pipe, if they wish to do so.
The Pipe Flow Expert software is used by a wide range of end users, from individual engineering consultants that may be specifying pumps for a golf course sprinkler system, through to middle east oil companies that may be designing hundreds of miles of oil pipelines.
